Two footballers from the Leeds United team have been charged with an attack on a man in Leeds. The attack happened last January outside a night club. The man who had been attacked had a broken nose, broken ribs and a broken leg after the fight. Both the men say that they were innocent. They almost certainly will not be able to play in the Euro 2000 finals this summer.

Welsh Rugby Players Suspended.

Two Welsh Rugby players have been suspended pending enquires into whether they are Welsh or not. They are from New Zealand and claim that they have Welsh grandparents. One of the grandparents is thought to come from Oldham in Lancashire. This player that claims he has a Welsh grandparent will probobly be able to stay in the country. We are unsure of the other players situation.

Mr McManus the owner was questioned about the horse returning next year, Mr McManus agreeing it was a possibilty, however, no decisions would be made here at Cheltenham, that decision would be made back in the peace and quiet of Ballydoyle Stable back in Tipperary
