Wasdale
Head
Lying
between the great mass of Scafell and Great Gable lies Wasdale Head. One of
the most isolated valleys in the Lake District. It is a popular start for
many classic fellwalks including Scafell Pike (The highest fell in England)
and Great Gable. The Wasdale Head Hotel is famous in British Rock Climbing
history.
Wastwater
(just round the corner from this photo) is the deepest and coldest of the
Cumbrian Lakes.
