Ullswater
Ullswater
lies in the North Eastern part of the Lake District. It is a large lake but
very quiet. The small village of Glenridding is the busiest place on its shores.
A small steamer travels the length of the lake during the summer. You can
reach Ullswater from Ambleside by travelling over the Kirkstone pass, where
the highest inhabited building in England is.
