We went to see the washroom and to help out. We had a go on the olden-day washing machines, a dolly, mangle and a. We met the maids Milly and Elsa who were doing the washing for the Brown's wedding. |

We went to see Mr and Mrs Brown ,Mrs Brown was
very upset because Mr Brown was gambling on horses . We heard a voice that told us a clue to find some money , but first we had to find a riddle .We found the riddle under the clothes chest (as seen in the photo). The money helped to pay the maids' wages and replaced the money lost by Mr Brown. |

The riddle told us to go into the children's bedroom where we found a baby's cradle .On the side of the cradle there was a door, and inside we found the money. |

We all went into the barn to watch a mummers play .The people in the play were called St George, the Turkish knight, the dragon, the King, the doctor and the princess. They were speaking in rhyming words, there was a lady who was collecting eggs .Eggs were important to your diet if you lived in the olden days when Townend was built and people appreciated being paid in eggs as much as we would in money.The Turkish knignt thought he could win the fight if he challenged St George but he was so wrong.Then a doctor came along and brought the Knight back to life. |
