Ian is the property manager. He is in charge of the local National Trust team. He makes sure everything is organised.

Bob and Ian are the Estate team. They do lots of work like building walls, looking after visitors and meeting people.

Mat is the gardener. He makes sure the gardens at Hilltop are beautiful for all the visitors who go to see Beatrix Potter's house.

Nicky is learning to be a warden. Because she is a student the other wardens make her do the unpopular jobs like picking up litter.

Tim and John are wardens. They lead tours and walks and work on walls and fences. John is Forester warden and he looks after all the thousands of trees in the area. He makes sure they will not fall on people's heads!
