Football is taken seriously at Ambleside Primary School. There are now five different teams in our small school!!

Our ‘A’ team are known as the “Ambleside Wolves,” so called because our stunning blue and white kit was kindly sponsored by the local branch of the Jack Wolfskin Shop.

Our ‘B’ team are the “Wolf Cubs” – a little younger – but just as dangerous!

There are also two teams drawn from Year 2,3 & 4 and Year 5. These teams regularly compete in the ‘Kent Valley 5 a side League.’

We are especially proud of our girls football team “The Jags“. After many months of turning up for competitions dominated by boys, other schools are beginning to take girls' football seriously. Our first ‘all girls football tournament’ was held in October 1998 at Kendal, where two girls teams from Ambleside Primary competed in a series of matches against several other local schools. We look forward to many more in the future. Interested?
