- The ROBOZONE - Tonnes of Design and ICT ideas here
- Lego computers - ratios, multiplication and division with LEGO!
- Space Probe models - Our own Mars Pathfinder probes!
- Cranes - built after a trip to Barrow in Furness Shipyard
- Chocolate Bar Designs - a good use of a drawing program.
- Computer Aided Design / 3D graphics - Using ICT in the design process.
SPACECRAFT MODELS / IDEAS:
These are great for adding an extra element to class lessons on Earth and Beyond - Make a model space probe and get it to explore the solar system.
- Mars Mission Models - NASA spacecraft that carried the names of children from Ambleside on CD-ROM.
- Make a model of the Gallileo Space Probe - more designs from NASA. Great project but very hard.
- Lunar Prospector - another great model.
- NASA ROBOTICS - try making these in LEGO, etc.
LEGO!
- LEGO LESSON PLANS - Teach engineering with LEGO. Superb website.
- Mars Robots - loads of novel Lego ideas here.
- Lego Pneumatics - Air Power ideas here. Make your own model Victorian steam engines, etc.
