DAFFODILS

Wordsworths's poem updated for the 90's.

I was walking along by myself on the straight road beneath Loughrigg and over Pelter Bridge

Suddenly out of the corner of my eye I caught a glimpse of something golden,

It was only my ring on my finger!

I sat on a rock to eat ASDA's own peanut butter sandwiches and a puffin biscuit

and then I realised it was actually some daffodils beneath the hedge row on the edge of Rydal water.

Then suddenly a Tornado GR3 came tearing through the sound barrier breaking the wonderfull silence...........

Then it was quiet again and the Daffodils were even more beautiful than ever as the Sun shone down on them in the warm breeze coming off Loughrigg.
