Neal Nets Nice-One in '98 Nissan!
The first BTCC race of the season took place on the 5th April when British independent Matt Neal won the Feature Race at Donnington Park. Neal led the field throughout the race until the pit-stop, which was a good time but he stalled. Luckily, he managed to restart the Nissan but the delay put him back in fifth position. Like a man possessed he fought his way back passed Rydell, Muller, Plato and Thompson to a stunning victory. As Neal is the first independent to win a Feature Race in the BTCC he claimed the £250, 000 prize, presented by the head of TOCA. The victory is all the more impressive bearing in mind that he did it in last years Nissan.
