Making an Optical Illusion
In Science we have been looking at Colour and Light. We have done experiments using the usual equipment and have decided to try a computer version as well.
STEP 1
Make two pictures:
These two pictures will be used to make the animation (we used a screen size of 200 X 200)
STEP 2
Load the pictures into an animation program. We used GIF construction set and set the delay between them at different times.
STEP 3
Save the finished animations
STEP 4
Stick them on a webpage like this
This one waits 1 second before the picture swaps
This changes 3 times a second
This changes 20 times a second
DO YOU NOTICE ANYTHING?
It works because it confuses your eyes when it changes quickly
