We made some birdfeeders to help the birds in the colder weather.

This is how we made them. You need:

1. A pine cone

2. Seeds

3. Berries

4. Lard

5. String

This is William with Mrs. Wright melting the lard in an old pan on the radiator.

Here are Emily and Thomas mixing in the seeds and berries.

We all liked putting the mixture into the pine cones. It is very messy!

When it went cold we tied the string on and hung it on a tree.
