M IS FOR MARKET CROSS
The market cross is now outside the Tourist Information Centre
but it used to be in the middle of the road between the
Queens Hotel and the old Market Hall.
It was moved when the amount of traffic got too great!
The top stone was found recently near Windermere
and put back in its right place!
